Gavi is getting ready, will be open to tourists from October!
Gavi is a place that has touched the hearts of the Malayalees through a single film. It has everything you need to enjoy, the snow, the river, the forest, and the breeze. Gavi, which has been closed for the past six months following COVID, will be open to tourists from October.
Tourists can come here from October to enjoy the beauty of this extraordinary place, which is shrouded in mist. The opening date will be announced later. The final decision on the entry date will be taken after discussions between the Forest Department, the District Tourism Promotion Council, and the maintenance department.
On the way to Gavi, there are landslides in some places. In some other places, the road was washed away and collapsed due to rain. Access to these places will be allowed only after making a temporary barricade. Admission will be allowed only if the COVID criteria are met. Travelers are only allowed entry only after booking online at the Forest Range Office in Angamuzhi. The first 30 vehicles that registered online will be allowed entry. The entrance will be through Angamoozhi Kiliyerinjankallu Forest Check Post. Admission will also be allowed through the Vallakkadavu check post. Children and those over the age of 64 will not have access.
